Sofia is 12 years old, she loves dancing and Korean culture. She feels that human beings need to take care of animals because "cats don't cook and cannot go to the doctor themselves". In Mariupol they didn't have electricity or heating so they put candles to have light but their cat Timonya burned all his whiskers...
Karina is 17 years old, she loves drawing and is interested in architecture, mythologie and astronomy. She wanted to help because she noticed in this time of war that the cats are defenseless.
All the cats of the drawing session showed only positive emotions and it was a joyful moment for her to be surrounded by them.
Vlada is 15 years old. The cat in her drawing is playing in a basket that is used to find and collect Easter eggs. Vlada asked for her thank-you-present to receive a bag of cat food so she could donate it back to Dobrokit to help cats in need. Playing with the cats during the drawing session gave her positive emotions.
Polina is 14 years old. The cat in her drawing has the shape of an egg because everybody will celebrate Easter soon. Her cat with the happy and sparkling eyes is holding a fish, her favourite snack.
Polina really wanted to participate in this drawing session so she could help as many cats as possible. Very creative!
Nazar is 12 years old. His cat is playing with the Easter eggs and decided to crawl into the Easter basket. Nazar loves Lego. His family had to leave their pets behind when Mariupol was being bombarded and they had to leave in a hurry. They could not have imagined it would take 3 years.
He hopes peace will come soon.
Stanislava is only 11 years old, a real talent. It is important for her to help animals because she loves them very much and she realises that many of them miss the love of their owners. The cats made her feel relaxed, she did not feel nervous like she usually does during air raid alarms, Her cat is a Calico Cupid.
Maya is 16 years old. So much talent. Read her testimonial on the page "who is Kidz 4 Katz". She only has a few pictures of herself when she was young. All photo albums were burned with their apartment when Mariupol was bombarded in '22. Maya saw her father only one day in the last 9 months. She misses him terribly.
Here are a few impressions of our last Drawing Session with our talented junior artists from Mariupol. When their homecity got reduced to a big pile of rubble after 80 days of constant bombardments, they became refugees in their own country. You can see their sadness and pain in the eyes of the cats that are in their drawings. Life as they knew it from before the war, will never be the same again. Kidz 4 Katz wishes them all the best and we will do anything within our means to help them realise their dreams.
